MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A lcokdown has been lifted at Muskogee High School Monday after a police pursuit in the surrounding area, school officials said.
The lockdown was put in place at 11:35 a.m. on Monday and lifted at about 1:45 p.m. The lockdown was put in place as a safety precaution, officials said.
Muskogee police said the incident that caused the lockdown was a police pursuit started by the Fort Gibson Police Department. The pursuit ended east of the campus.
Muskogee Public Schools officials say they will keep parents updated via the website, social media and robocall.
