MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Okla. - The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating an inmate's death.

Officials said Floyd Patterson III, 35, died Monday at a Muskogee hospital.

Officials said Patterson was arrested in the early morning on Sunday, June 17 and charged with public intoxication.

Patterson was booked into the Muskogee County Jail, where he remained until noon on Monday, officials said.

Officials said Patterson was transported from the jail to Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee for a medical issue and later died.
