Muskogee Co. Deputies: Missing teen with autism found safe

MUSKOGEE COUNTY — Muskogee County Sheriff's Office says the teen with autism that was reported missing on Thursday has been found.

According to Muskogee County Sheriff's Office, Alex was found safe and returned home around 11 p.m. on Thursday night.

Deputies say that Guthrie returned home on his own and that no foul play was involved.

Deputies posted on Facebook on Thursday that 17-year-old Alex Guthrie left his home near the 4000 block of South 30th Street West on Wednesday morning.

Deputies say they believe Guthrie left voluntarily, however his parents say he has never left home before like this.

Guthrie is described as being 5' 7" with green eyes and brown hair.

Deputies say Guthrie is not wearing his glasses at this time.
