Muscogee Creek Nation Emergency Management and Lighthorse Police prepare for hurricane relief efforts in the Carolinas.
They have a team of 16 trained professionals, including in swift water rescue, waiting to get the green light from the state of Oklahoma Emergency Management.
They're from Muscogee Creek Nation's Lighthorse Police, Okmulgee Emergency Management and Mukogee Emergency Management.
They have a total of four boats, three ATVs and several other equipment.
This isn't the first time they've been deployed. Last September, they helped with relief efforts in Houston when Hurricane Harvey hit.
"We went down there not knowing what to expect, what we're going to see.... we'll be able to take that experience and our know-how what we did in Houston take it to the Carolinas," said Chief Robert Hawkins, the Chief of the Lighthorse Police.
