TULSA-- A 2016 assault leads to Tulsa's 74th homicide in 2017. Tulsa Police arrested William Cooper on Thursday at a homeless camp near 1200 S. Frankfort.

Police say Cooper is wanted in connection with the July death of Brobeggar Willis. TPD say that Willis died from blunt force trauma to the head in a January 2016 assault.

The victim died in July 2017.

Homicide Sgt. Dave Walker says that on Tuesday the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office applied for and was granted an arrest warrant for William Copper alleging murder. That's when the Tulsa Fugitive Warrants began to track down Cooper.
