The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says multiple people were hurt after a boat caught fire on Lake Bluestem Sunday afternoon.

Troopers say five adults and seven young children were on board when the boat caught fire around 4:15 p.m. They say fumes in the engine caused the vessel to ignite because it was not properly ventilated.

Three children and two adults were hurt. Two of the children and one of the adults were airlifted to a Tulsa hospital. One child was transported in stable condition. All of the other patients were treated and released.

The children's ages ranged from 1 year old to 9 years old.
