TULSA — Multiple fireworks-related injuries were reported Thursday night during July 4 celebrations.
Tulsa Fire Department officials said one person was taken to the hospital after receiving significant injuries when a mortar was shot off nearby.
Officials said at about 11:30 p.m., another person was taken to the hospital with hand burns after lighting a roman candle while holding it.
In one other incident, officials said they responded to a two-vehicle crash in which one vehicle caught on fire. A mortar apparently went off inside the vehicle, but it's unclear if it went off before or after the crash, officials said.
