Multiple crews were called to 6800 N Cincinnati Ave this afternoon for a grass fire.
A man was burning items from a logging company when the fire got out of control.
Turley Fire and Rescue was the first to be called out to the scene, equipped with a grass rig and control vehicle.
Upon arriving they requested assistance from Sperry City Fire Department and one engine from Tulsa Fire Department
Most of the fire was off the road which was heavy with trees and vegetation, causing a few more problems for the firefighters.
Officials say even in this extreme heat there is not a Burn Ban in place.
The fire is currently contained as they check the area for any hot spots that may be left over.
