Motorcyclist dies after crash in southwest Tulsa

TULSA -- A motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon after a crash in southwest Tulsa.

Crews responded to the crash just after 3 p.m. on West 51st Street South west of South 65th West Avenue.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the driver of a 2006 Harley Davidson was rounding a curve on on West 51st Street South when she crossed the center line and struck a vehicle head-on.

The motorcyclist, identified as Juanita York-Lawson, 48, of Sapulpa, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The people inside the other vehicle involved were not hurt.
