TULSA — Mother Road Market has announced a Pinewood Derby and Classic Car Show, which will be held this September.
The event will be Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature a day full of activities and competition all paying homage to the Mother Road.
"This event is special in that it encourages creativity and innovation from children and adults alike to create a Pinewood Derby car that has the winning edge," said Mother Road Market Event Coordinator Sam Extance. "We're excited to host a day that has a family-focused spirit, and we think this event will be a great opportunity for our community to get together and engage in some friendly competition."
The car show ill be held in the back parking lot, featuring specialty vehicles that would have traveled the Mother Road years ago.
