OKMULGEE COUNTY — Okmulgee County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a mother for allegedly abusing her children.
Deputies said they arrested and booked Megan Matthews on three counts of child abuse with injury.
An investigation began after the children informed a teacher they were being mistreated at home, deputies said.
Authorities said they discovered evidence that the children had all suffered physical abuse - including being choked and exposed to illegal drug use.
No court date or bond has been set yet, officials said.
Deputies said the children were moved from the home and into a safe environment.
