TULSA - More than 5,000 people are volunteering in more than 300 projects in the Tulsa region as part of the 24th Annual Day of Caring.
The Tulsa Area United Wayspearheads this community service day event every year, and they say this year will be even bigger.
Some of the projects include helping clean up the 9/11 memorial site on Memorial and Mingo, renovating the Sand Springs Community Center and building the world's largest metal tube slide at the Westside YMCA on Olympia.
