TULSA - More than 1,500 volunteers will be giving back to the community for the annual "Day of Service" organized by Asbury's United Methodist Church.
They'll be going to more than 30 sites around Tulsa area to help build and paint projects, do gardening and yard work.
Some of the worksites include the Bixby Outreach Center, Centenary UMC, City of Tulsa, Global Gardens, Happy Hands, Life Senior Services and Youth at Heart.
You don't need to be part of the congregation to volunteer; anyone is welcome.
Buses leave at 12:45p.m. from the church located at 6767 S. Mingo Road and buses return at 5p.m.
