TULSA - Christmas came a few days early this year to Peary Elementary.

Ryan Reed founded Gracious Tree back in 2014, and with the help of the community has made it his goal to give area kids warmth this winter.

On Friday, 150 new jackets were given away with the hope of making the kids feel loved and special.

Reed said he wants each of them to know that someone cares about them and is thinking of them.

"It may not be the best home situation and they may not feel that so if we can bring that to them one day and every time they zip it up they feel those things, no matter what’s going on in their outside world, that’s a huge victory for Gracious Tree," said Reed.

To this day, they’ve donated over 1500 jackets to Tulsa Public School kids.
