TULSA -- Three people were hospitalized Wednesday morning following a mobile home fire in east Tulsa.

District Fire Chief Ronnie Cole said a father suffered burns over 50 percent of his body while he pulled his son out of the mobile home that was engulfed in flames.

His wife burned her arm and leg. The son, who's about 12 years old, had cuts while being pulled from a window.

The fire started after 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday on 104th East Avenue near 41st Street.

Fire investigators say the fire was caused by a cigarette.

"This home here is a total loss. We've got two homes across the street that their sidings were melted on, so the heat was pretty high," said Cole.
