The Lieutenant Governor is doing all he can to ease the minds of Oklahomans and pass along information that can help businesses stay afloat.

Matt Pinnell also serves on the Department of Commerce Executive Committee that focuses on small business growth.

He says he's very concerned with what's happening as some of these locally owned businesses are closing up shop.

So I got him on the computer today to talk about something new he's launching.

Lt. Gov. Matt Pinell says, "One of my roles in the recovery is to demonstrate the Oklahoma Standard, demonstrate just the pride that we should have in the state of Oklahoma and morale, bring some moral back. So, we're starting what we're dubbing the Okla. Proud Interviews and we're just interviewing Oklahomans from around the state, talking about innovative ways they've created to keep in business, and ways that they're helping their neighbors and ways that they're helping other Oklahomans.

"And the purpose of this is to inspire people to hang in there or what?" said Mike Brooks.

Pinnell says, "Inspiration is one of them, but number two hopefully bring you some good relevant information. We've got the gentleman who runs the Oklahoma Pork Producers Alliance that we're releasing today, so breaking news, bacon is still going to be on the shelves of our grocery stores. But you know, just talking to him about this huge industry in Oklahoma when it comes to pork, "How is this effecting us?". So it's everything from that to small business owners as well."

So please don't go make a run for all the bacon in the store.

The Lieutenant Governor says he's releasing a new interview every day, and he's doing these from his home.

They're about 15 minutes long and you can watch them the Lieutenant Governor's Twitter and Facebook page.
