TULSA — A 12-inch water main break is causing issues near 41st and Lewis as the intersection is partially underwater.

Two city crews are out at the scene, but much of the city is tied up.

Crews say work on the break won't start until 6 a.m., but they are working to slow the flow down.

Crews are working to slow down multiple valves, close off two valves and work their way up.

Crews say they expect one or two lanes of traffic to close, but there are currently no closures on Lewis.

Crews ask that drivers avoid 41st Street due to the standing water on Lewis, which could be there awhile.

If you have to drive that way, crews ask that drivers slow down as they come through the intersection.
