TULSA, Okla. — After more than 25 years in the same midtown location, a Bill & Ruth’s sub shop is moving to make way for a new QuikTrip, a news release says.
The restaurant has anchored the corner of 15th and Lewis but will be moving a few blocks east to 2647 E. 15th Street in mid-May.
QT bought the 15th and Lewis property in 2017 and has plans to build its newest store there.
“We were shocked and saddened by the news but after the dust settled it became clear that it was just the catalyst we needed to kick us into a retirement and pass the business to our daughter and son-in-law,” Anita Saiymeh said.
Beginning April 15 the current location will have shortened hours, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily and will close on April.
The new location is about 3,000-square feet, the family says.
