TULSA — Memorial Drive is still closed to traffic between 21st and 25th Place after a gas line break on Thursday afternoon left thousands without power.
Crews continue to work to fix a 16” pipe that ruptured yesterday. Drivers will need to find an alternate road if you’re trying to get on Memorial.
ONG says it has brought extra crews to go door to door and turn on gas for the customers still without gas. Less than 1,000 customers are without gas as of Friday afternoon.
One person was taken to the hospital as a result of the incident. Seventeen people were transferred out of their residential facilities as a precautionary measure.
The cause of the break is still unknown. An investigation into the incident continues.
