MCALESTER, Okla. — McAlester Public Schools announced members of the high school football team tested positive for COVID-19.
In a post on the district's Facebook page school officials said they are working with the Pittsburg County Health Department and everyone determined to be in close contact with the patient are being notified by the health department. Those people will have to quarantine.
School officials are monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of our staff and students.
