A spokeswoman for Green Prairie, said its facility, which has been converted from a tomato greenhouse, should be ready in about a week to start growing Medical Marijuana in about a week.

The spokeswoman said if and when they get the license approval from the Oklahoma State Department of Health, they’ll be growing all organic marijuana plants in the greenhouses.

Neighbors who live in the Wagoner County area of Broken Arrow have raised concerns over a grow operation on their busy 91st Street.

Right now, that land, according to Wagoner County’s Planning Commission and Green Prairie is zoned Agricultural.

Neighbors raised concerns about security and allergies.

Green Prairie said it’s building 8-foot-tall fences that will be walled off.

Security cameras are everywhere and the staff said onsite security will be there once they’re in operation.

Green Prairie said there will be no affects to anyone’s allergies because the plants are female and don’t pollenate.

On top of that, the team said there will be an air filtration system added as well.

Because it’s a grow operation, Green Prairie said they cannot sell direct to the consumer and can only market its plants to the grower.
