TULSA -- Friday marks the first day dispensaries can sell mature medical marijuana plants, or plants that are ready to grow flower.
But they will be hard to come by, because most growers in the state don’t want to sell their mature plants -- they want to harvest their own flower and sell it themselves to make more money.
Wild Herb in Fairfax is one of only a few dispensaries in the state where you can buy your own seedling to start the growing process on your own.
They say you probably won’t see flower being sold for a while (likely until the end of the year) because the demand is so high, and the supply is low right now because they were only recently able to begin growing.
So Friday marks a major milestone, because the countdown clock is officially ticking for those with medical marijuana cards to buy flower firsthand.
For the few able to buy seedlings, they won’t have to wait nearly as long, because they’ll be growing their own plant to maturity and into its flowering stage.
