GLENPOOL, Okla. — Authorities are responding to an injury crash in Glenpool on Thursday afternoon in which they said a semi truck overturned and spilled meat products for animals onto the roadway.

The crash was near 181st Street South. U.S. Highway 75 had lanes closed for several hours due to the lengthy cleanup process.

A spokesperson for Glenpool police said a car westbound on 181st Street South entered the highway in the path of the semi. The semi driver swerved but couldn't avoid the collision, then it crossed the center median and the truck and trailer separated.

The semi driver and passenger have minor injuries and the driver of the car was extricated by firefighters and transported to a hospital, but the extent of her injuries is unknown.
