TULSA, Okla. — Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa is receiving a $50,000 grant from the Helmerich Family Trust.
The Helmerich family will match all of the donations raised this month up to $50,000, according to a statement released by officials with Meals on Wheels.
The community non-profit is widely known for serving homebound Tulsans with meals and essential services.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Meals on wheels has increased its meal deliveries from 1,000 to 2,700 meals a day.
