McAlester, Okla. - The McAlester school board voted unanimously to fire Superintendent Marsha Gore Saturday night.
The McAlester News Capital reports the four to zero vote came just after 6 Saturday evening.
After the hearing, the board concluded that Gore and her husband, Skip, violated school district policy by using school funds for personal spending.
The News Capital reports Gore's pay is now cut off following her dismissal. The hearing for Skip was rescheduled to Friday the 12th at 3 in the afternoon.
