McAlester Police searching for suspect in connection to taxi driver homicide

McAlester police are searching for a suspect in connection to an early morning homicide.

Police say a 911 caller reported they heard gunshots between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Wednesday morning near South A Street and West Delaware Avenue.

When police arrived on scene they found a Rover Taxi with the windows shot out and the driver, 25-year-old Dustin James Parker, deceased.

Officers and investigators canvassed the area and did not locate a suspect.

Police say the suspect still has yet to be located.

OSBI has been assisting with the investigation and is processing the crime scene.

Rover Taxi company made a post on their Facebook page providing a link for donations to the family. Officials with Rover Taxi say if anyone would like to donate other items, to please call their office at 918-420-9271.
