TULSA, Okla. — Even before Governor Kevin Stitt's press conference about reopening the state was over, Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum was announcing his plan for Tulsa.

Bynum says Tulsa's safer at home order remains in effect.

While he appreciates the governor's plan, he is going to work with the Tulsa Health Department and the Oklahoma State Department of Health to indicate when Tulsa can begin the reopening process.

He'll discuss options with colleagues Thursday and announce his plan on Friday.

Bynum also revealed a grim budget picture for the city of Tulsa.

He presented the plan for the next fiscal year to city councilors Wednesday night, warning the general fund will be short nearly $13 million.

Bynum says they'll draw from the rainy day fund. That's in addition to furloughs, a half day a week through mid-December.
