TULSA – Many gathered to attend a ceremony where the Navy’s newest combat ship was given a familiar namesake.
The event was held at the VFW in downtown to announce the USS Tulsa, which is still currently being built. But, 2 Works for You was told that the USS Tulsa will be similar to the USS Independence.
Former Mayor Kathy Taylor and current Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett were in attendance during the event Tuesday.
