TULSA — Mayfest has unveiled the poster for its upcoming festival, which features a phoenix reimagined as a scissor-tailed flycatcher.
The poster was created by Oklahoma artist Kim Doner, and is titled the "Prairie Phoenix."
Doner is a University of Tulsa graduate.
“This poster is a result of my excitement to witness Tulsa’s renaissance coupled with Mayfest’s bold return to the Tulsa Arts District,” Doner said.
This year's upcoming festival will take place May 17-19. The 2018 art and music festival garnered a turnout of about 410,000 people.
