TULSA, Okla. - Police say a man is undergoing surgery after being shot several times in south Tulsa, but he is expected to be ok.
Police responded the Avondale Apartments near 67th Street and Trenton around 2:45 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man had been shot to the chest.
During the investigation, police learned from witnesses that the victim and the gunman knew each other. Investigators say they got into a fight, leading to the suspect opening fire.
Then the victim went inside his apartment to call for help, while the suspect took off.
Investigators believe they have a good idea of who they're looking for but haven't released a suspect description.
The motive of the shooting is under investigation.
