TULSA-- Police are searching for a man after he broke into a Dollar General store, took cash from the safe and got away.

Tulsa Police say that the man threw a brick through the front window of the store near 31st and Mingo on Friday morning before the store was open for business.

According to police, the man came into the store wearing a mask and a blanket wrapped around him. Police say that the man told the employee to open the safe, but the employee said it was automated and wouldn't open for 10 minutes.

TPD says the man waited 10 minutes for the automated safe to unlock.

The man got away by the time police arrived.

No injuries were reported.
