Man robbed and stabbed in hand after visiting downtown ATM overnight

Tulsa Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a man and stabbed him in the hand early Monday morning.

Officers responded the intersection of Archer & Cincinnati Ave just after 4:30 a.m.

They found a victim stabbed in the hand near an outdoor ATM.

The victim told officers he had checked his balance and was walking to the bus stop when a man approached and demanded his wallet.

"Our victim said he did not have any money and he didn't believe him, so he stabbed him in the right hand and took the wallet," said Tulsa Police Cpl. J. Goldstein.

The victim saw the suspect leave in a brown PT Cruiser.

He is described as a black male, approximately 6'1", 30 years old, wearing a blue hoodie. 

The victim was transported to Saint Francis Hospital and is expected to be okay. He recovered most of his belongings except a Visa debit card.
