TULSA -- A man is lucky to be alive after crews found him unconscious in his burning mobile home Saturday afternoon.
Neighbors in Mingo RV Park called police around 4 p.m. after seeing a trailer on fire. Maintenance workers rushed to unlock the home while first responders arrived on scene.
Firefighters found a man inside the home unconscious and with no pulse. After about four minutes responders were able to revive the man, who suffered burns to his lower body.
The victim was transported to Hillcrest Hospital in critical condition. The man, believed to be the only one living in the mobile home, was breathing but unconscious.
According to Captain Stan May with the Tulsa Fire Department, investigators believe the fire sparked somewhere near the kitchen stove. However, there was no gas in the trailer so the cause of the fire is still unknown. The trailer is considered a complete loss from the fire.
