STILLWATER, Okla. -- A man who lost his leg in last year's OSU homecoming crash is now suing Adacia Chambers, the woman who was driving the car.
Leo Schmitz filed a civil claim in Payne County District Court on Monday. He says he suffered injuries to his head, neck, back, extremities, and internal organs. He ultimately lost his left leg because of his injuries.
He, along with his wife Sharon Schmitz, are asking for more than $1.5 million.
Chambers drove her car into the parade route Oct. 24, 2015 during Oklahoma State University's homecoming festivities, killing three people.
