DAVIS, Okla. — Davis police say an Oklahoma man was injured after the paramotor he was flying clipped the zip line at Turner Falls and collapsed, according to KOCO, our news partner in Oklahoma City.

The incident was reported at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21. Davis police said when they arrived, they saw a parachute atop some trees just south of the low water crossing near the Turner Falls area.

Police said they found the victim lying on the ground surrounded by several people who arrived to help him. The witnesses said they helped the man out of his harness and got him out of the tree.

The paramotor was caught up in the middle of a cedar tree. The parachute was still attached to the paramotor and was caught up in a different tree, according to police.

Witnesses told police that the man's parachute clipped the zip line and collapsed. He fell from that point into the tree.

Police released a cellphone video taken during the incident by a witness. The video shows the man sailing in the air towards the zip line and the parachute catches the line. The parachute then collapses and leaves the frame of the video.

Police believe the man had either suffered a broken hip or broken upper femur, as well as minor scratches and bruising to his face. He was taken to a hospital.
