BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- A man was hospitalized Friday after police say he rammed a patrol car during a pursuit in a stolen vehicle.

Police were called to the 200 block of West Edgewater Street to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle.

Police say the caller also said the suspect, 46-year-old David Palmer, was trying to steal the license plate off a different vehicle.

After trying to stop the vehicle, police say the suspect rammed into a patrol unit. The suspect then fled, reaching speeds of 90 miles per hour, according to police.

The suspect then crashed after speeding off the road near 101st and Memorial in Tulsa.

Police say the suspect was pinned inside the vehicle for a short period of time and had to be extracted. Palmer was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say no one else was injured.
