Man hit in the head with metal pipe during midtown Tulsa armed robbery; TPD search for suspect

Police are looking for a man accused of hitting another man with a metal pipe during an armed robbery Monday night in midtown Tulsa.

Officers responded to the Yorktown Convenience Mart near I-44 and South Lewis Avenue just before 11 p.m.

The victim told police a man approached him while he was leaving the store and started asking questions.

Before the victim could respond, police say the suspect forcefully took the victim’s belongings and hit him in the head with a metal pipe.

EMSA crews took the victim to the hospital in stable condition.
