A Tulsa man initially charged with murder waived his right to a trial on Monday and pleaded guilty to amended charges in front of a judge.

Records show Larry Darrell Jones, 35, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of Jose Cordova. Cordova was shot and killed in the east Tulsa parking lot of a taco shop in December 2017.

The judge accepted Jones’ plea and immediately sentenced him to 35 years for each count to be served concurrently – first-degree manslaughter, attempted robbery with a firearm and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.
