TULSA--Police arrested a man on Tuesday in connection with a deadly hit and run that happened on December 3, 2017.
According to TPD, Police were tipped off to Earl Barnett as a suspect after OnStar recorded his vehicle at the scene at the time of the accident.
The hit and run happened around 2am on Dec. 3 in the 6600 block of S. Memorial Rd.
Police say that the man on the motorcycle, Kevin Rea, was traveling southbound when Barnett's vehicle struck him.
EMSA transported Rea who was pronounced dead at the hospital.
TPD says the OnStar on the suspect’s vehicle was triggered by the collision and the a police K-9 tracked the suspect.
Police found the vehicle, but Barnett was not in it.
Court date is scheduled for January 30.
