STILLWATER, Okla. – A pickup and trailer reported stolen earlier this month were located by authorities Thursday.

Stillwater police say the pickup and trailer were recovered near the 4000th block of N. Perkins Road. Detectives confirmed the vehicle and trailer as the same ones that were reported missing on May 7.

Authorities found that the locks were removed from the doors on the trailer and a significant number of tools were missing.

Not long after, detectives say they found some of the missing tools at a nearby pawn shop

Stillwater detective say through the investigation they found that a suspect, Cody McGinnis, 23, allegedly asked an acquaintance to sell the tools.

When detectives located McGinnis, they found more tools that were reported stolen. A search warrant was obtained for his home and there they found more tools and methamphetamine.

McGinnis was later arrested on complaint of burglary in the first degree and possession of methamphetamine.
