TULSA - A man was arrested Friday after police say he was caught impersonating an officer.

64-year-old Allen Cottrell was armed while walking outside his home near 49th Street and Peoria Avenue. Upon arrival, police discovered that Cottrell was intoxicated and carrying an authentic Tulsa Police badge.

Cottrell claimed he was wearing the pistol and the badge to scare his neighbors during a dispute.

He was arrested and now faces several charged including false impersonation of a city officer and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
