TULSA – Authorities arrested a suspect on complaint of kidnapping after he allegedly caused a woman to drive into a building.

Tulsa police say Willie Whitman, 43, refused to let his ex-girlfriend, 26, leave his hotel room after an argument. The woman told police she was finally able to escape and attempted to drive off in her car.

Whitman reportedly chased after her and grabbed her, says Tulsa police, or the steering wheel causing the vehicle to crash into the front of a building and a parked car at the Georgetown Plaza near the 8500th block of East 27th Street.

The woman told police that she and her 8-year-old child then ran to a nearby apartment and called police.
