MOUNDS, Okla. - A man was booked into Tulsa County Jail on Saturday for his involvement in a shootout near here with another man.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of two men shooting at each other in south Tulsa County at 816 S. 181st St. South on Friday at about 4 p.m.
Jeremy Reece, 35, who was booked into jail Saturday on a charge of shooting with intent to kill, had been taken to the Glenpool Fire Department in a personal vehicle after being shot in the arm. He was seeking treatment.
The other man, Charles Carter, 37, at that time was still at the scene of the shootout and was suffering from a gunshot to the abdomen. Carter received emergency care from the Glenpool Fire and Creek County EMS and was transported to the hospital.
Eyewitnesses told TCSO deputies that they saw Reece come out of his house to confront Carter and tell him to leave the area, even though witnesses say he was not on Reece's property.
The two men got into a verbal altercation, according to the TCSO report, and Reece proceeded to allegedly shoot Carter in the stomach.
It is unclear when Carter fired his weapon, hitting Reece in the arm.
