OKEMAH, Okla. — A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a woman's death in Okemah over the weekend.
The Okfuskee County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the 346900 block of West Highway 56 at about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and found a woman identified as Teresa Smith dead in a home.
Authorities said Antony Spain had called 911 and reported a domestic incident and shooting. Spain was arrested on a count of first-degree murder and booked into the Okfuskee County Jail.
The Sheriff's Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation's assistance in investigating the shooting.
