TULSA - Police arrested a man Sunday after they say he stole groceries and led them on a chase.

Police say they received a call from a witness that claimed she saw 30-year-old Jeremy Barnett taking raw meat and cleaning detergent from the store near 1600 North Peoria Avenue.

When she tried to stop him, the witness said Barnett slapped her hands and ran out of the store.

Officers spotted the green truck Barnett was driving near 1700 North Rockford Avenue. Police say after they confronted him, Barnett fled the scene.

Police followed Barnett and arrested him after catching him trying to break into several homes.

Barnett was arrested on multiple charges, including larceny, resisting arrest and 1st degree burglary.
