WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. – A man was arrested Tuesday after the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office says he molested a 5-year-old girl.
Authorities say Sherman Lee Hammons, 38, was arrested and booked into the Wagoner County Jail for lewd molestation.
The victim’s mother contacted the sheriff’s office to report that her 5-year-old daughter was molested by Hammons while she visited family.
During an interview with investigators, Hammons admitted to the act.
According to a press release, the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on Hammons is asked to call the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office at 918-485-3124.
