TULSA — A 35-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning after police investigated a shots fired report in east Tulsa.
The incident was reported in the 7300 block of East 6th Street at about 1:50 a.m.
Police said the suspect, Andre Payne, was asleep at a family member's house when he woke and realized a family member had taken his vehicle.
Payne became angry and waited for the family member to return home, police said. When the family member arrived, Payne fired two shots into the air from a semi-automatic handgun, according to police.
Payne was then held down by another family member. He was arrested on a count of possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.
No injuries resulted from the gunshots, police said.
