Man arrested after deadly shooting in Ramona

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Okla. — The Washington County Sheriff's Office said a man was arrested in Ramona after a deadly shooting.

Undersheriff Jon Copeland said the shooting occurred Tuesday around 4:45 p.m. in the 39900 block of West 3700 Road.

Undersheriff Copeland said investigators found a deceased person inside the residence and called OSBI to assist in the investigation.

On Wednesday at around midnight, OHP located the suspected vehicle being driven by the suspect, identified as Daniel Hines, and he was arrested after a short pursuit, Undersheriff Copeland said.

Hines faces charges in Mayes County as well as an arrest warrant through Washington County for failure to appear.

The victim was identified as Robert Brown.
