Police are investigating an alleged kidnapping in north Tulsa where a 22-year-old man was found inside the trunk of his car.
At 12:50 a.m. police received a call from someone reporting a man was inside a vehicle's trunk near North Harford Avenue.
When officers arrived to investigate, they found a vehicle that matched the description and attempted to pull over the driver, but the driver fled the scene.
Officers then used their helicopter to follow the vehicle instead of starting a ground chase because they didn't want to endanger the possible victim inside the trunk.
After a short aerial pursuit, the driver crashed into a home on North Elgin Avenue and ran away. Officers found the victim inside the trunk of the car. The man told police that he was trying to meet someone he had met online.
According to the victim, when he arrived at the house where he was meeting a female, a couple of people inside beat him up because the female was underage. Then, they allegedly threw him in the trunk of his car and tried to drive away.
Police are still investigating the incident. No word on what the alleged kidnapper would face if caught.
