The man accused of hitting and killing a 5-year-old boy will have to wait a little while longer for his day in court.
A preliminary hearing scheduled for this morning was changed to August for Renier Davison.
Police say Caden Reyes Ortiz was riding a scooter with his mom on Riverside Drive by the Gathering Place in April when he was hit and killed.
Davison is facing several charges, including leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
The boys mom, Evelyn Ortiz-Luevano, fled the country and a warrant remains out for her arrest.
